The History of

The Missouri Reign

The Missouri Reign, at the time just known as "TEAM", took the field for the first time together on Wednesday May 31st. The match was a friendly against a talented U-21 WPSL team that was preparing for their upcoming season.

Since that match, the team has taken significant steps creating an environment and a culture that is accepting, inviting, and open to the community and building not only their program, but growing the game of women's soccer in the area.

In October of 2023, the Reign women joined with AFC Columbia, under the Reign name. They formed a partnership with AFC Columbia to become a brother/sister club, and unite Mid-Missouri soccer at the semiprofessional level.

In the summer of 2024, the Missouri Reign competed in the WPSL for the first time. They went through the ups and downs of an inaugural season, laying a foundation for the years to come and capping it off with a season ending tie against the number six team in the country.
