Position Description
The Video Editor for Missouri Reign will be responsible for turning raw game and practice footage into polished, purposeful video content. This includes creating clips for social media, websites, highlight reels for players, and promotional content for fans, sponsors, and other media avenues. The Video Editor will work closely with the videographer, coaching staff, and content managers team to ensure all video content is clear, engaging, and aligned with the organization’s goals.

Edit game and practice footage into clear, organized clips for coaching staff.
Produce highlight reels showcasing top plays, players, and moments.
Create promotional videos for social media, sponsorships, and team events.
Game & Practice Content:
Receive and organize raw video from the videographer.
Cut and tag clips for easy access by coaches and players.
Emphasize strategic plays, individual development, and teaching points.
Creative Media Production:
Build exciting highlight packages for fans and promotional use.
Add graphics, music, and branding elements to enhance videos.
Assist with storytelling projects, interviews, or behind-the-scenes features.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the videographer to ensure footage is captured with editing in mind.
Partner with the coaching staff to meet analytical and developmental needs.
Coordinate with the communications/marketing team to deliver content that fits brand standards.
Technical Duties
Manage video files, storage, and organization for long-term accessibility.
Stay up-to-date with editing software and techniques to ensure professional quality.
Troubleshoot technical issues with video formats, rendering, or exporting.
Content Delivery:
Provide timely turnaround of practice/game clips for coaches.
Deliver highlight reels and promotional edits for use across team platforms.
Adapt content for different formats, including social media, web, and presentations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual presentation.
- Ability to add graphics, overlays, and branding elements to enhance content.
- Organized with file management and efficient in handling large video projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to adapt edits to meet specific coaching or marketing needs.
- Ability to work under deadlines and deliver timely edits following games or practices.
- Familiarity with formatting content for different platforms (social media, web, presentations).
- Passion for sports and interest in showcasing both team performance and fan engagement.
