The Missouri Reign is looking for a Web Design Lead to oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our official team website. This role is perfect for a creative and tech-savvy individual passionate about delivering an engaging online experience that connects fans with the team.
Responsibilities
Your Responsibilities will include:
Website Maintenance & Updates
Keep the website content current, including schedules, rosters, news, and event information.
Regularly update pages to reflect team announcements, player highlights, and promotions.
Monitor website performance and troubleshoot any technical issues promptly.
Back-End Management
Manage website hosting, domain registration, and security protocols.
Ensure smooth integration with ticketing, merchandising, and social media platforms.
Implement updates, patches, and backups to maintain site stability and security.
Design & User Experience
Create visually appealing, interactive, and user-friendly web pages that attract and retain visitors.
Develop responsive designs optimized for desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
Use best practices for accessibility, navigation, and loading speed.
Content Collaboration
Work closely with the media, marketing, and communications teams to align the website with branding and promotional goals.
Coordinate with content creators to upload videos, images, and written material.
Analytics & Improvement
Monitor site traffic and user behavior using analytics tools.
Use data to recommend and implement enhancements to improve engagement and conversion.
Innovation & Trends
Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies.
Propose and implement new features to keep the website fresh and competitive.
User Access & Permissions
Manage user accounts and permissions to ensure photographers, writers, and other content contributors have proper access to upload and edit content.
Coordinate with team members to provide timely access and troubleshoot any login or permission issues.
Maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data and site integrity.
Note:
Qualifications
- Experience with web design and development tools (e.g., WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, HTML/CSS, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with backend management (hosting, domains, security, user roles).
- Strong eye for design and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of SEO, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles preferred.
